Weekend Inspiration : Be patient always
Lagos traffic can be terrible! Just in a bus on Amara's way to work, a trailer was said to have fallen which was the sole cause of the traffic. Amara was seated in the bus for more than two hours with series of "traffic Jam" after which there was a serious "hold up" in that the bus remained motionless for several minutes...
Due to the intensity of the traffic, passengers started alighting from the bus till it was just her & a man left in a bus of over 30 passengers, as she looked at the almost empty bus & the current situation of the static bus, she decided to alight from the bus as well, but the only man left in the bus adviced her not to & she consented & sat back, immediately she sat back the bus started moving & Amara arrived at her destination in no time...
Had she alighted earlier, she would have been like the other passengers who after alighting(thinking it was a better option than waiting), trekked a very long distance & paid another fare to finally get to the destination they had completely paid for initially, ...
Then it dawned on her that this is a practical life situation; sometimes in the journey of life, we get to that point were there seems to be a lot of traffic, sometimes it might just be a slight "go-slow", some other times it might be a terrible "hold-up "... Please just be patient, God has a wonderful plan for your life, or after a lot of patience, you might want to alight like she almost did.
A word for you;please do not give up, you might be right at the edge of your turning point, like she listened to that man's advice, try to always listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit telling you to hold on a little longer and in no time, you'll arrive at the great future God has destined for you & finally before I forget don't follow the crowd;the crowd shouldn't be a yardstick to measure if you're on track or not, follow God's leading cos He'll always lead you aright....
See you at the top!! 👆👆👆, good morning and have a wonderful weekend.
This is so true. My car was under repair and I took a bus going to idumota, I alighted when the stand still started on top of the bridge, I've trekked a long distance before the vehicles started moving and couldn't locate the bus I entered. Then my heel slippers broke and walking with it was a living nightmare. I have no choice but to remove both slippers and trekked to idumota barefooted before I see a cobbler that repaired it. I was not so embarrassed cos I know people may think I was a celestial church member. But I was so disgusted and my body irritated me that day, I remembered washing my body more than 10 times when I reached home. My worst day so far.
