India loses her first Lady at 74

India's President, Pranab Mukherjee lost his wife today the 18th of August. The first lady, Suvra Mukherjee died at age 74 after suffering from respiratory disorders. She died at the Army hospital in Delhi.

"Suvra Mukherjee died after a cardiac arrest. She was on ventilator till the time of her death," hospital PRO Sanjay Kumar said.



She was born on September 17, 1940 in Jessore in Bangladeshis and hot married to President Pranab Mukherjee on July1957.

She is survived by her husband, Pranab Mukherjee a daughter Sharmistha Mukherjee and two sons Abhijit Mukherjee and Indrajit Mukherjee.
May her soul rest in peace.
