The "go-slows" in Life
Lagos traffic can be terrible! Just in a bus on my way to work, a trailer was said to have fallen on the road which was the sole cause of the traffic. I was seated in the bus for more than two hours with series of "go-slows" (traffic Jam) after which there was a serious "hold up" in that the bus remained motionless for several minutes... Due to the intensity of the traffic, passengers started alighting from the bus till it was just me & a man left in a bus of over 30 passengers, as I looked at the almost empty bus & the current situation of the static bus. I decided to alight from the bus as well, but the only man left in the bus adviced me not to & I consented & sat back.
Immediately I sat back the bus started moving & I arrived at my destination in no time... Had I alighted earlier I would have been like the other passengers who after alighting(thinking it was a better option than waiting), trekked a very long distance & paid another fare to finally get to the destination they had completely paid for initially, ... Then it dawned on me that this is a practical life situation; sometimes in the journey of life, we get to that point were there seems to be a lot of traffic, sometimes it might just be a slight "go-slow", some other times it might be a terrible "hold-up "... Please just be patient, God has a wonderful plan for your life, or after a lot of patience, you might want to alight like I almost did, a word for you;please do not give up, you might be right at the edge of your turning point, like I listened to that man's advice, try to always listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit telling you to hold on a little longer and in no time, you'll arrive at the great future God has destined for you & finally before I forget don't follow the crowd;the crowd shouldn't be a yardstick to measure if you're on track or not, follow God's leading cos He'll always lead you aright.... See you at the top!! 👆👆👆
