            ***************************************
It's been four weeks since I heard from Jeffrey, he doesn't pick my calls and when he replies my messages on WhatsApp, it's like am chatting with a stranger. I noticed one thing about Jeffrey recently, after posting new photos on Facebook he writes #stellawork so does his whatsapp status read. I kept asking myself, who is Stella? Is she the one taking my place in my boo's life or is she just a colleague, I would definitely find out..

‎Grin! Grin! Grin!!! My phone rings disrupting me from my thoughts, it's Morenike calling. Morenike is my besty, we have been friends from childhood, we share things in common especially birth date.

Nike (I fondly call her) how are you doing?

I'm doing great my dear, how about you oma?

I'm good too

You aren't sounding good, kilode‎ (what is it)?

Hmmm! It's Jeffrey oooo, I don't understand my boo again

What is happening between you both?

Nike it's not something we can discuss over the phone, would come to your place today after visiting the bank.

Ok would be waiting, don't come empty

Ha! I will bring a boo for you , meanwhile prepare Amala and Efo riro with kpanla fish and pomo.

You know well, see you mouth like kpanla fish, Nike teased me.

Biko Nike am serious ooo, it's been awhile I  ate Amala.

Ok this Igbo girl I would ooo, but are you coming to eat or to discuss relationship matter

Both of them Nike, take care dear bye. I ended the call as I rushed to the bathroom.

    *******************************************
I stood on the queue at the counter waiting to be attended to because my Atm card is bad and I'm yet to get a new one. The whole time at the bank I kept thinking of Jeffrey, I don't want another heartbreak again.‎

Next customer please, the banker said attending to me.‎

I gave him my withdraw slip and my cash was given to me. Thank you I said with a smile as I left the counter. On my way out of the bank, guess who I saw? Melvin, I knew this time  I wont go free without giving him my contact.

Uloma! I met the beautiful damsel again

Yes you met me, remember I told you its a small world I said with a frown on my face.

You look beautiful even when you frown

Ooo!! Thanks

So where are you up to?

A friend's place at Akowonjo

Do you mind if I drop you off ?

Thanks for the offer, I would prefer going with a taxi

I want to drop you, please

No, I said reluctantly

Ok, maybe next time you won't decline my offer. Hope I can get your contact this time.

Yes I quickly dialled my number on his phone.

Thanks Uloma, Melvin said with excitement

You welcome dear, have a nice day I said and quickly left him.

Bye dear as he kept staring at me

       ***************************************************

Morenike! Nike baby!!! I've missed you. I said with a hug

I've missed you too, your Amala and eforiro is ready

Ha!! That's why I love you, you have never disappointed me when it comes to food. I dashed into the kitchen and collected my food, 20 minutes later I was done eating the palatable meal.

Nike I didn't even ask you of mum and dad

Ooo!! They are fine, they travelled to Oshogbo for a burial ceremony. Oma so what's happening between you and your boo Jeffrey?

Jeffrey has changed. he doesn't  pick my calls anymore  and our chat on social media is not helping matters. Ok take a look at his Facebook timeline every post ends with #Stellawork, including his WhatsApp and BBM status. I don't understand a thing ‎

Ha!!!! Oma it seems Jeffrey has tasted Ghanaian jollof rice

What do you mean by that? I said curiously

He has another girlfriend over there, but let's not jump into conclusions yet. Let's trace who Stella is through Facebook

we quickly searched Jeffrey's friends with the name Stella and we found her, I remember have seen a picture of both of them but I didn't take it serious.

Send her friend request and let's see what happens next Nike said

On sending the friend request it sent chills down my veins with lots of thoughts and confusion in my head. Nike could see through me how I fought with the fear of uncertainty but I said to myself at that point there is no going back, have got to face it head on, yet I prayed that Stella was only a friend.

To be continued......

  5. Correction pls: it is "I have" missed you. There's nothing like "have" missed you. That's bad use of English. Unless u were trying to imitate a yourba accent. Keep writing. You will improve.

    Thank you.

“Hello,” Pamilerin said again when he heard nothing from the other side.
