Esther went to her room still fuming. She couldn’t believe it. It was so unbelievable that it had taken a lot of strength not to barge into the kitchen and demand an explanation. If she hadn’t seen them herself, it would have been laughable. She couldn’t imagine how that girl would come into her house acting all innocent when all the while she had been planning to lay her hands on her son and to think she had been fond of the brat and treated her almost like her own.
