How did we ever get here?

A lot of us young folks are gradually losing it. How did we get to this point that we now have little or no patience to learn and grow up to some things. How did we become so over fed
with the "ideology" of "believe in yourself" that we have fallen deaf ears to the genuine and loving "advice and counseling" of our elders.


We now see those who advice us as people trying to discourage us from pursuing our dreams. We now look with disdain at those who still find time to warn us against the path we are going and the company we keep. In fact, we now believe our elders are so old school to teach us anything about life.(clap for yourself) My friend! Shut up your mouth!arrrghhh! It's a pity that we have so much pushed our elders to the wall and built our fences so high to the extent many of them now seek diplomatic ways to scale through those fence.

Little wonder many elders around us have decided to just sit back and watch us make those silly avoidable mistakes and still run back to them. (Thanks to the few who still tolerate our excesses) No wonder our society is in shambles! No wonder we rush in and rush out of things! (Relationships, career, church, business etc).

Young boys driving cars but nowhere to sleep!Young girls well packaged but all nah deceit! Plenty weddings in town but few marriages we see! Baby mamas and daddy's on the rise yet no harm is perceived! More school dropouts on the rise all in the name of I'm chasing my dreams and many lives getting messed up claiming they run the street! You think you can gain the experience they have by reading one or two books or attending one or two seminars? *Smh* How did we ever get here?hmmm!

Remember; We young ones can't tell what being old is like, but the old can never forget what youth was. Nwanne! (my brother/sister) Let's humble ourselves and learn. Let patience be our watch word! Above all, let’s respect our elders Biko! (please) Many of them didn't use google and Wikipedia in school. They are libraries in motion..
