I really had a hectic day ‎at ‎school, from farm practice to several lectures and there is a rumble in tummy screaming for food. Just as I dashed into my room the aroma from the
jollof rice my roommate Amara was preparing ‎gave me so much joy. ‎

Welcome oma, how was your day? Said Amara as I moved into kitchen to open the pot of rice.‎

Amara it's was very stressful, thank God for the pot of jollof rice.

You came back late today, Joe came visiting but he couldn't wait‎

No problem, would give him a call later, I know he came for his textbook.

Ok, dear


Let me take a cool bath. As I stepped into the bathroom I could hear my phone ‎ring‎, I hurried back ‎into the room to get the call. It's my dad calling‎

Goodevening Uloma, how are you doing?

I'm good dad, ole ka Nnem na Tobe di (how is mum and tobe?)

Ha dinma (they are good). My elder brother called today, the man from Isiozi seeking for your hand in marriage came to our compound with his family members.

Dad again, I told them I wasn't ready for marriage and I needed to graduate first.

My dear oma, I told them the same thing but they came back insisting they would take care of your schooling

Hmmm!!! When I'm in final year, dad I don't want to get married to him

Oma I respect your decisions, whatever you want go for it. Let me hand over the phone to your mum

Nne Goodevening, I said while waiting for her reply

Goodevening my dear, I heard what you told your dad, biko (please) remember time is flying and you are longer a kid. All your cousins are getting married

Nne, I would get married at the right time and give you beautiful grandchildren, Keep on praying for me. I don't want to rush into things ooo

Nne bye I said with a relief as the call ended. Ha!!!! Amara this marriage thing again. That same guy who stays in ‎Dubai ‎

 Jeffrey came apologising to me, he said he couldn't leave without ‎me because  I complete his life. I was in tears while he ‎spoke. He took his handkerchief and wiped my tears telling me it's Ok. I was happy that I got Jeffrey back.... The phone rang and I woke up from my sleep, oh!!!!! It was all a dream. Why did Melvin wake me ‎up from this dream?‎

Hello beautiful, how are you this morning?

Thanks, I said as I ended the call. Mehn!! It's already 7:30am and I have a revision class by 8.30am. I stood up from the bed leaving Amara who was still sleeping.

It's one week to my final exams, I would be a graduate soon, what next after graduation? Hmm!! I thought deeply before Amara interrupted me

These calculations are so difficult, oma help me out these lecturers wouldn’t  explain each step properly.

Yes it is not difficult, after this exams we would go swimming.

Hmmm!!! Biko pass me my phone, said Amara, I took notice of the caller as I passed the phone to Amara.

Ok, talk of the devil, it's Jeffrey calling you. I said with a weird look on my face

Really why would he be calling me?

Answer the call and know why he's calling? As Amara picked the call, different thoughts and questions arose in my mind. Is my dream of Jeffrey apologising coming through? maybe he called Amara for something else, please can anyone help me figure it out because  am so curious. To be continued.......
