His country watched him die
There are so many reasons why we should be grateful to God, especially the gift of life. These story is based on what I saw today, along Badagry express way Lagos, Nigeria.
The man never knew today would be his last day on mother earth. He had plans for his family, friends and the future. Hmmm!
Tunde left the house this morning, planned to return home then attend a friend's party. He had a red car, he drove wherever he goes.
On the express way, he ran into a bus, which squeezed his car under the bus and it got stuck with Tunde in it.. The bus was left undamaged, while Tunde remained he his car fighting between life and death.
People gathered round just watching and discussing about what happened. No one seem to help Tunde, there was no police, no ambulance e.tc. Tunde fought till he gave up the ghost.
Back to my side, I understood why nobody helped out, nobody wanted to be arrested or held responsible for his death. Based on what have seen and what people in my bus talked about on my way back from church, the situation is that when you take an accident victim to the hospital, you would be asked for a police report before treatment commence, asked to pay the bills, or get arrested by the police claiming you killed the person, they would never understand that you are just being a good samaritan.
If this man had the chance to survive, he wouldn't have because his beloved country watched him die. Where is the problem from? the government, police, doctors and so on. I just kept pondering in a tears.
Rip to that man. May we live long on earth. In Jesus name, Amen.
