A Visit To Oguta Wonder Lake

Was scrolling through my photos and found photos of my visit to this wonderful place. This visit occurred in May, had a picnic/ girls time out with my beautiful roommates after the end of the first semester exam( needed to cool our brain after the reading and writing). Actually the picnic held because I and another roommate where going on I.T( industrial training) so we decided to have a little time out.

Swimming time

We had to decide where to go, some suggested a swimming pool, but I suggested Oguta wonder Lake and everyone agreed to that after telling them how much fun we would have.
I am my room mates.
Oguta lake( pronounced Uguta) is the largest Natural lake in Nigeria. It is located in Oguta LGA of Imo state. It served as a Biafra army marine base during the Nigeria Civil war.
I on the ferry. This girl like picture.
We had the picnic here,  miss my roomies and friends
We had an opportunity to ride on a ferry which conveyed our bus, other cars, motorcycle and passengers to another side of the lake, where we had the picnic.

The confluence between the blue and brown rivers

The most amazing part of my visit was seeing the river confluence( a point where two rivers meet). We had a ride on a speed boat which took us to the confluence. The rivers Oguide( Oguta river) and Urashi river meet at a point, you can clearly see the demarcation between the blue river(oguta) and the brown river( Urashi). Any attempt to mix both water in a container, the two would gradually separate.

On the speed boat to the confluence.
It's really fun, you can swim also in the lake but some places are prohibited to avoid someone being drowned. Had a wonderful experience. So anytime you visit Imo state, you can have a wonderful experience too at the Oguta wonder lake.
